Parent Portal — Tracking Your Child's Bus

Look up by student ID and date of birth. See bus location and status in real time.

What you need

Student ID — from the welcome letter your district sent. Looks like S-HS-1234.
Date of birth — your child's DOB exactly as on school records, format YYYY-MM-DD.

Where to go

Open your district's Pinnova page — ask the transportation office for the link if you don't have it. It looks like https://hampton.pinnovatms.com/parent.

What you see

Your child's route + scheduled pickup time
Live bus location on the map
Bus status — Running (on its way), Parked (at the lot), Delayed, or Breakdown
The next stop on the route

Report a problem

If the bus didn't arrive, or there's an issue, tap Report Issue on the portal. The transportation office gets an alert immediately.

Too many attempts? The portal blocks repeat lookups after 5 attempts per minute or 20 per hour. This protects your child's information from abuse. Wait a few minutes and try again, or call the transportation office if you're locked out.

Privacy — FERPA compliance

Pinnova complies with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). Only a parent who knows the student ID and exact DOB can see a child's record. Every lookup — successful or failed — is logged with your IP and timestamp. The transportation office can see this audit trail.

We never show any child's data to a parent in another district, even if the student IDs happen to match. Districts are fully isolated.
